LASIK PRE-SURGICAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Start lid scrubs with baby shampoo ONE WEEK prior to your surgery. Place a drop of baby shampoo on a clean, moist washcloth and delicately rub your eyelids with your eyes closed. Then rinse with warm water.
- Be sure to start the prescription antibiotic eye drops THE DAY BEFORE surgery. Put one drop in each eye 4 times per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime). Please put one drop in each eye the morning of surgery as well. The doctor will give you a prescription for these eye drops when you have your final measurements. If you don’t have this prescription, call the laser vision coordinator at 630-546-8313 and they can call the prescription in for you.
- On the day of surgery, you must arrive with your face washed and NO make-up, creams, lotions, perfume/cologne or any substance with odor. Please focus on removing ALL MASCARA the night prior to surgery.
- Come accompanied by another person who will be able to drive you home (regardless of whether your surgery is for one eye or two).
- Be sure that your schedule allows you to be in town one full week after your surgery is performed. Dr. Rosin would like to be able to see you when needed during this time.
- Please read and initial the consent forms in your white folder. Bring them with you to the surgery center and sign them in front of the laser vision coordinator.
- Payment is due the day of your surgery. We accept credit cards, debit cards and Carecredit. NO CHECKS
